A multi-disciplinary creative group at the RCA founded by Fabio and Bianca, Department 21 were given space and financial support by the new Rector to set up a new department to work across disciplinary boundaries. The group had members from 19 of the 20 different departments in college. The remit of the group widened to stimulate educational reform at the RCA. A space has been reserved in the 3rd floor of the Stevens Building for the continuation of Department 21. Just what form it will take in the 2010/11 academic year is still anyone’s guess.
A publication is also available to buy from the Department 21 website.

Shine 09 - 2009
In 2009 the Design Council run a workshop in collaboration with the V&A to recognise and inspire excellence in design education from every corner of the country. I was asked to lead a group of three High School Children to design something that was inspired by their journey to the event. The students had four hours to make a design and present to a full auditorium of students and designers. Here are some of the images from the workshop.
The Design Council subsequently put together a PDF to 'A TEN STEP GUIDE TO RUNNING A DESIGN WORKSHOP'.
